From the Living Hope Staff

 

NEW FOR SUMMER 2010

 

1.  Worship will be every Wednesday at 7:00 beginning June 16^th

 

2.  Every other week (6/23, 7/7, 7/21, 8/4, 8/18) we will have children and adult JAM time (Jesus and Me) from 6:15 to 7:00. We will begin with a meal at 5:30. The alternate weeks (6/16, 6/30, 7/14, 7/28, 8/11, 8/25) we will have special treats after worship.

 

3.  There will be three field trips for school age children this summer on June 23, July 21 and Aug. 18 in the afternoon to enrich the theme “Growing the Fruit of the Spirit----love, joy, peace, patience, kindness”.  We will go with the children from Here We Grow on a school bus. We are making arrangements to go to the Lion’s Den Gorge, Grafton; Urban Ecology Center, Milwaukee; and a Llama Farm in Sheboygan. Each trip will cost $ 10 and will require a parent’s permission slip.  Flyers and permission slips were mailed out on June 4.

 

4. We need volunteers to enable this to happen!!  Pastor Marilyn and Pastor Michael will accompany the field trips. Pastor Marilyn will lead the JAM time for children and Pastor Michael for the adult mini Café Christianity offering. Please let Shannon Stoker, our secretary, Chris Lear or Pastor Michael know if you can volunteer. Pastor Marilyn will be on vacation until June 17^th. We need the volunteers to:                               

                 A.  Prepare the meals and clean up. Keep it simple. Try Costco for                  inexpensive ideas. A free will offering will be taken to cover                  expenses.

                 B.  Help with JAM time. Pastor Marilyn will be there and provide                  materials.

                 C.  Accompany the children on the field trips.

                 D.  Provide the treat after worship. Cliff Polheber will be building a                  fire outside for treats on the Wednesdays listed with his name.
